The rumors are true! In the last few months I have gone from the age of 25 to the age of 52. Knitting has become this total addiction for me and I thought I would show off the projects I have been working on. The first one is a baby sweater I am finally almost finished with. It's a wrap sweater knit all in one piece from a super soft yarn made out of bamboo.
I am also furiously knitting a second attempt at the "Turn a Square" hat from the famous Brooklyntweed. Famous amongst the "knitting community", I suppose... I knit the first one in the round but the store I went to was out of circular needles in the size recommended. I went one size bigger at their suggestion, but in my inexperience I failed to knit a gauge swatch and the hat came out hugemongous; which is definitely a word. I'll be giving it to my brother-in-law who everyone agrees has the largest head amongst those we know. I am almost finished with the modified, second attempt that will hopefully fit Jon.
I upgraded yarns for this project by jumping on the Noro bandwagon, using a self-striping one from the famous japanese brand. First of all, knitting with wool is great and helps keep the tension, but this particular brand is hand-dyed and handspun and known for having really gorgeous colors. I know, enough knitchat, right? In other news, I finally mailed off Christmas cards as Winter decided to really set in by dropping about 7 inches of snow on my backyard. Happy Holidays from Mother Nature!

How are you? This is Justina, I haven't seen you in years! I found your blog from Jessica's. So I love that sweater you are knitting. It is so cute! You are so talented. What are you up to these days? (other than knitting I see you are pretty busy with that). Are you still in UT? Well I just wanted to day hi. Have a Merry Christmas!
